More Build Progress

Yes, time is looming to get on the road to Bonneville Speed Week for Testing, Tuning, and racing, so here's what we have done the past few days on the Rum Runner.

This is the Dead Man switch from the fine folks at Pingle. This device kills the bike if one of us falls off and dies. Now you know why they named it that...

All bikes that race in STCA sanctioned races have to have a steering dampener. we got one from Biker's Choice.

The only thing stopping this bike is a single rear disc brake from Italy's Kustom Tech. it's lovely isn't it?

We roll with the Cobra from Avon Tyres. V-rated for 150mph

The frontend consists of 39mm narrow trees from Wargasser, a set of springs from Progressive Suspension, a set of clip-ons from Roland Sands Design, a clutch lever from Kustom Tech, as well as a throttle and grips from Biltwell.

Chris also whipped up this killer motor mount from scratch. It's a work of art...

Excel Race Wheels are Built

We just picked up our custom race wheels from Wheel Works. They consist of a set of chrome 40-hole aluminum Excel wheels with a Wargasser Spool Hub, lightweight aluminum H-D rear hub, and stainless spokes. These things are feathery!
